Book Description: If she isn’t mine in the end, I’ll still be hers.
It’s torture, but it’s true…

My brothers best friend broke my heart, but what happens when his new teammate wants to put it back together?
For years, I’ve dreamt of what college life could bring and while some things changed, there was always one constant.
It didn’t matter how wild I allowed my imagination to run, it always led me to the same place in the end. It led me to him. My future was clear, and he was it. Until suddenly, he wasn’t. Now there’s a new man in my life, one who isn’t afraid to go after what he wants, and what he wants … is me. They say first loves last forever. What about the second?

Goodreads Review

My Review:

Noah & Arianna

To say this story moved me… would be an understatement. This story was absolutely beautiful. It is in my top 5 favorite books of all time now, and it will probably never leave.

This story is unique because it’s about picking up the pieces after your heart breaks from your first love and falling in love with your true love.

Reading the synopsis of the book I was sure I would be team Chase. Reading the book, if you do not end up being team Noah, there’s something wrong with you. Haha

““There’s this… this feeling I keep getting.” Tears prick my eyes now. “It’s like an overwhelming sense of urgency, demanding my attention, almost like need or awareness. It keeps screaming that I’m missing something, something big. Something that’s a part of me, but I don’t know what it is. It’s physically painful, like beneath the bones, painful, where I can’t touch it, can’t find it, but it’s heavy, and the desperation that falls over me when it happens is debilitating.” -ari

I liked that Ari didn’t blame Chase after the night on the beach, but rather took responsibility. She told Chase that she wanted it, didn’t regret it, and that it was special.

A lot of people think that Chase was a douche. And I understand where they’re coming from, he does have his douchey moments. BUT I really do believe he loved Ari. He just loved her brother and their friendship more. He was also a dumb hormonal boy.

Noah… man. Words cannot describe how wonderful he is. Luke Combs has this song Love You Anyway, and I think this part of the song captures Noah;

“I know just tryin’ to write a song
I run the risk that I could get your perfect wrong
And well I guess, what I’m tryna’ say
Is there ain’t words been made could shoulder so much weight”

Ughhh. Noah was patient, loving, kind, a good listener, and a good cook. He really is the perfect book boyfriend. Which is why he is tied for first, with Henry from the Virgin Romance Novelist.

“Maybe I’m not the man of her dreams but the understudy who did the noble work. Who befriended a broken girl. Who showed her what it meant to matter to a man, how it felt to be loved. She knows now that she’s worth the world and deserves even more.” -noah

Meagan Brandy’s writing is just so beautiful. She said that this book took her five years to write. And you can tell it was a labor of love and that she really put her all into it.

This book touched me and really hit me in the feels. One of those books you wish you could go back and read again for the first time.

If you have not read this book yet, DO IT NOW. It is a bit lengthy, but so unbelievably worth it.
